The cunning little Vixen / Bergen Nasjonale Opera / Leoš Janáček / Avshalom Pollak & Inbal Pinto / Rory Macdonald)
The Cunning Little Vixen – folk inspired opera tells the story of the life and love of a young fox, in the forest and her dealings with the humans who cross her path.
Originally a popular Czech newspaper cartoon, the opera offers a touching commentary on nature, here exquisitely staged in a new production for Bergen National Opera.
“…An ambitious, imaginative show that bubbled over with visual invention.” Yehuda Shapiro, Opera Magazine
“The Cunning Little Vixen is a fine indication of the ambitions of this fast- developing opera company on the west coast of Norway … Imaginative and intriguing.” Neil Jones, Opera Now
